iso was constantly interrupted, it appears it detects the image has changed mid-download stream, and has to be resumed completely from the start.Įventually I was able to bring down both images, after restarting the second download 3-4 times. The first one came down fully intact, when I downloaded it on another network. Used Xtreme Download Manager from SourceForge, to download the Digital River. Ok, discovered something very interesting. MS does not always publish values however when downloading directly from MS or Digital River if there hasn't been an officially published checksum there are usually enough corroborating postings of valid checksums available.Īnyway, what ISO Image Name and URL did you finally download and what was the MD5 or SHA1 checksum it produced? The ones I posted for the X17-24395.iso were c/p'ed from a random web page not MS. Not necessarily a bad sign, it depends on the source of the checksums. It still doesn't match any checksum which is a bad sign.

While I've had a relatively low number of corrupted downloads nonetheless I'd rather validate first before dealing with an issue later.

As a general rule I always try validating against officially published checksums or corroborated checksums before proceeding to use the downloaded file when dealing with large downloads. I wasn't 100% sure as I didn't download the file and try validating it however I've seen that error message posted far to many times in which it was confirmed to be a corrupt ISO Image.
